"Believe me if there was that electoral alliance, there would be no PDP today forming government because Buhari would have brought the votes from the North West to add to the votes from the South West.
So, when I visited Buhari last week, I went through all these with him and I asked him if he agreed with me that we would all lose if he didn’t and he said ‘yes, now I agree.’ I said you did it in 2007, you failed; in 2011, you did it again you failed, I failed, everybody failed.
I asked if he agreed that if we all come together it would be better he said he agreed. So, APC is a completely new experiment, just like when PDP was formed, it was thought to be unthinkable because we came from the SDP and some from the NRC – right of left and left of right.
APC has the chance of succeeding if well managed and I concede to you that really, politicians have lost a lot of credibility in the last year or two.
So, really, there is need for politicians to re-invent themselves so that the credibility they have lost, can be regained.
Last night I told Asiwaju and we agreed that General Buhari is now becoming a politician unlike before. Now, Asiwaju said he is more democratized and now, you can sit down and he is not rigid like before. There is hope for this country".~Atiku Abubakar, Former vice-president
Since The Government of Nigeria promotes corruption and pampers it, some youths in the country have found a means of livelihood in the game through fraudulent practices, thousands of unemployed youths resorted to illegal styles of defrauding victims to survive.
Sun News reports that
Nemesis has caught up with 36-year-old Adeniyi Adebayo Daniel who has been accused of forging certificates of various tertiary institutions across the country. Daniel, who hails from Osun State, attended Ajangbadi High School in Lagos and obtained only a secondary school certificate before setting up a tutorial centre, at Isashi, in Ojo area of Lagos, where he prepares students for West African Examinations Council (WAEC) supervised exams, National Examinations Council (NECO) exams; Joint Admission and Matriculations Board examinations, among others.
With alleged forged certificates of various tertiary institutions, no one would be in doubt of his academic competence to operate a tutorial centre.
"They died together – by fire. The house they both shared as man and wife is also in ruins, burnt to the ground. As at the time of writing this report, the charred body of the woman lay morbidly in the midst of the debris. Approaching the burnt building, certain eerie feeling hits with a good impact. The man, who was saved from dying with his wife inside the fire, died on the way to hospital. “You can say both of them died together,” observed a shocked, grieving neighbour.
The puzzle now is not just that the couple, Patience and Monday Chilaekezie died by fire. To the Umuodu community in Ezinihitte Local Government Area of Imo State, it is that they can hardly understand why Patience could have been so incensed and callous to the extent of setting herself and her husband on fire.
“A 20-year-old Forest Hill man was arrested by Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies early Thursday morning, hours after police said he stabbed his mother to death in their home.
Isaac Anya Ojiabo Jr., 20, was taken into custody without incident at approximately 4:30 a.m., when detectives canvassing the Forest Hill area located him in his family’s white Lexus SUV at the intersection of Crouse and Putnam Road, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Edward Hopkins said.
Ojiabo was being held at the Harford County Detention Center Thursday morning, awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner on charges of first and second degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
And a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to spit on June 12 and a time to be an Abacha forever zealot. A time to receive more than two hundred billion naira for road construction and a time not to construct or repair a single road. A time to work for Obasanjo’s third term agenda and a time to insist that Yar’Adua could rule Nigeria forever as a ghost from a Saudi hospital bed. A time to abandon the Turai-Cabal train when it became clear that Yar’Adua would die and a time to work for Jonathan 2015. A time for your iyanga to go and disturb the sleep of trouble and a time for trouble to respond by sending wahala your way in the person of Sam Nda-Isaiah. A time to be reminded by Sam Nda-Isaiah that, at over 80 years-old, it is painful to watch you dance naked at the behest of your latest master in Aso Rock and a time for you to know that it is time to leave us alone and retire to your country home. Indeed, there is a time to every purpose under the heaven.

happy New Year to you and your fold, it’s a waste of time to bother about how you are because a sick soul can’t contemplate contesting for a public seat.
It wouldn’t have been necessary for me to write you sir, over the years I’ve had my reservations about you but the fact that I saw posters of your 2015 presidential ambitions made it obvious that you need some home truths since the people surrounding you have failed to do it.
First and foremost I need to make you understand that I’m a Christian like you, a Pentecostal one for that matter. I am not in any position to question your call or ministry. This isn’t in any way an attack on your church but a few questions on your person; I’m one of those that believe that men of God must step into the politics of Nigeria to make the difference we all aspire, but what type of pastor are we talking about?
Michelle Obama & Adenike
Whao! Some people have a unique features or striking semblance that you would think they are familiar or even miss them for someone you know.

Rowland Jide Macaulay
A Nigeria born Gay Pastor now in exile, Rowland Jide Macaulay used to run a secret gay church in Ojodu Berger Lagos known as House of Rainbow Fellowship. He relocated abroad some years back after a major newspaper did a story on his homosexual church and he started to get threats. He's still running his gay church in the UK and has been speaking out publicly against the recently passed anti-gay law in Nigeria. Jide Macaulay recently penned an article about being rejected by his father
Towards Full Acceptance - By Rowland Jide Macaulay
I am writing this article to share my story with people who want to reconcile sexuality, faith, and family. It is a sequel to “My Father, My Faith and My Sexuality: The Dialogue” (in Q-zine’s first issue). Readers of that article will understand how much I have looked forward to visiting Nigeria again after years of estrangement. That long-postponed visit finally took place in January 2011, after a three year absence. This is the experience I want to share with you now.
Some background first. I came out as gay in 1994 after a troubled heterosexual life. My coming out was a disaster of, you might say, Biblical proportions. I was hated and denounced on mainly religious grounds, called a sinner, a defiler, an abomination, etc.
Jonathan as usual leaves Leprosy (mis-governance, Corruption, etcetera) to tackle scabies, sets death penalty for cyber crimes
The bill which is called the Cyber Crime bill 2013 and currently before the House of Reps, seeks to address all forms of criminality within the cyberspace and also proposes a life sentence for anyone who uses any computer network to carry out terrorism acts. In a case where there is no loss of life but the offender causes grave bodily harm, the bill recommends a prison term of not less than 15months.
Hong Kong socialite Gigi Chao was aversely getting more attention when her tycoon father Cecil Chao Sze-tsung declared his refusal to accept she was a lesbian by issuing a HK$500 million ‘dowry’ to a man that could marry her. Giji has written a poignant open letter to her father telling him to accept her decision.
I thought the timing was right for us to have a candid conversation.
You are one of the most mentally astute, energetic yet well mannered and hard-working people this humble earth has ever known.
Your confidence, quick wit, and charisma brighten any room you enter.
I love you very much, and I think I can speak for my brothers also, that we have the utmost respect for you as a father and role model in business.
I am sorry that people have been saying insensitive things about you lately. The truth is, they don’t understand that I will always forgive you for thinking the way you do, because I know you think you are acting in my best interests. And we both don’t care if anybody else understands.
As your daughter, I would want nothing more than to make you happy. But in terms of relationships, your expectations of me and the reality of who I am, are not coherent.
I am responsible for some of this misplaced expectation, because I must have misled you to hope there were other options for me. You know I’ve had male lovers in the past, and I’ve had happy, albeit short-lived, relationships. I found myself temporarily happy, buoyed by the freshness, the attention, the interest, of someone physically stronger than myself.

1. Snatching a friend or relation’s man. All is fair in love and war! Rumour has it that women have resorted to locking their phones, hiding their men and coding their gist from so-called friends cos it’s a jungle out there…
2. Re-inventing themselves. Pretence is the order of the day. No man wants to tame the shrew or teach the inexperienced or make an honest woman out of a dishonest one so once marriage is desired, women package themselves in pseudo, ready-made, easy-to-use, highly desirable packages. After marriage, what you see is what you get!
3. Trapping him with pregnancy. This used to be the old school method of getting a man to propose. From skipping the pill to seducing the man or getting him drunk when she was ovulating, a woman usually knew she had the man where she wanted him once she missed her period even if there was no commitment. Now the guys are saying YES to baby mamas and YES to child support. Are the girls deterred? NO! The girls have stepped up their game by involving the parents and you know parents don’t like scandals.

Governor Suntai. From his speech it is deducible that this man has been taking stock of his life, and will rather have more tranquil time with God. Could the political usurpers around him love him enough to allow him more time to recuperate in peace?

The Confession of a thieve among many thieves, Lawmaker confess the ploy to be elected to the Nigerian house of fraud
Evidence of massive corruption in Nigeria house of gangsters where votes are thrown to thieves and criminals in exchange for Rice and Groundnut oil, one of the thieves confessing the ploy of deceiving the masses whom they have consistently abandoned in a state of poverty Nigerian Politicians are known to bribe their way into power, from the president to Local government Chairman, their bait is the need of the masses which they ultimately borrow to give to them while vying for the position and Afterwards steal them blind by not fulfilling the oaths of office
It is quite troubling to know that the discrimination that African despises so much from the western world goes on in the continent of Africa. In the 70s, former Leaders of Nigeria, late gen. Murtala Muhammad and Gen. Obasanjo committed a Lot of Nigerian resources to fight apartheid, Then, some south Africans, like Late nelson Mandela, who could leave the country went into exile in Nigeria, And were not discriminated against, The Nation Nigeria is being ridiculed in almost all the country because of the Bad Leaders and many Nigerians have had to seek solace in other countries of the world by migrating to all other countries. Even the Present administration has become worse than all the past leaders put together
“ The Nigerian man said the sheet’s colour was red; his South African wife said it was rust. That discrepancy almost got the Nigerian man deported. Thelma Okoro (née Dee) and Kenneth Sunday Okoro had gone to a home affairs office for a routine interview to have their new marriage officially recognised. Because he was a foreigner, authorities had to satisfy themselves that this was indeed a legitimate couple and not a case of a South African woman accepting cash to help the Nigerian to get South African citizenship by virtue of being married to a local. The interview went swimmingly, until the matter of the sheet cropped up. "My husband said the sheet was red; and I said it was rust," said Okoro. "But this is to be expected. Men are generally colour-blind, or imprecise when it comes to colours. But the officials latched on to that. "They said the discrepancy in our answers showed that we were not living together, that I had been paid and was being used to facilitate and justify his stay in our country. I was ridiculed and insulted as a gold digger. They said I was helping a foreigner to abuse our system."
One of the officials proceeded to say – in the presence of the Okoros child – that he would deport "the dog" and detain the South African woman. Another day, another government office: Okoro was accompanying her friend, Lindelwa Uche, to a human settlements office, where the latter wanted to apply for an RDP house."One look at the name of the applicant, the official angrily said: ‘We don’t deal with foreigners!’ But when my friend stood her ground and pointed out that even though she was married to a Nigerian, she was South African, the official said: ‘If you want a house, you will have to divorce that man.’
Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ –Matthew 5:33 KJV
You shall be careful to do what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth. –Deuteronomy 23:23 ESV
When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow. It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. – Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 ESV
O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? It is most hateful to Allah that you should say that which you do not do. - Qur'an 61:2-3
Quoting President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, in Addis Ababa on January 31st, 2011 while meeting with Nigerians working in the UN and the AU, as reported by Daniel Idonor in an article in Vanguard of 1st February, 2011, captioned, “I‘ll not contest 2015 election – Jonathan:” “President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, said he has no ambition to stay in office beyond 2015, assuring Nigerians in Diaspora that while he will not contest the 2015 election, he will ensure that this year’s election is free and fair.”Vanguard Feb 1st 2011
This particular article was viral. Over 5000 people shared it on the Vanguard page alone. This translated to hundreds of thousands reading it online and many more in the print version. It was one more of many instances in the run up to the April 2011 election where the serving President of Nigeria assured the country’s people that if reelected; he will not contest in the elections in 2015, him being strongly of the opinion that “four years is more than enough to make all invaluable changes to a nation.”

Your Headache, My Panadol? (Nigerians satisfied with their sufferings refusing to fight bad leaders)
Professor Pius Adesanmi
"In my Facebook inbox, in my gmail inbox, you have been relentless in your messages. Some of you have asked me: Prof, what’s going on? Why have your columns for Sahara Reporters and Premium Times gone cold? Why has your Facebook page gone cold? Have you given up on Nigeria? Have you deserted your readers and followers? Some of you have no room for niceties. You don’t feel that you have to be nice and charitable so you ask me point blank: Prof, have you gone quiet because you have been settled? After all, you just returned from a trip to Nigeria…
Let’s answer the last question first. No, I have not been settled. I cannot be settled. My answer has never changed anytime anybody from the establishment has approached me to test the waters of ‘settleability’. You must understand that you cannot do what I do, write the stuff that I write, say the stuff that I say, without being approached carefully by self-appointed folks testing the waters to see if you can be “encouraged” to go easy on whichever Oga you are focusing your laser on. They think they are wise. They speak in parables. But if you are smart, you know what they are driving at: name your price.
Jonathan & Goldie Hawn
Goldie Hawn American actress film director, producer, and occasional singer who has a lot of sympathy for the gays has publicly rescinded her public praise for Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan who stood in the position of judgment in a secular country to hand out his public punishment for the gay sect,
The actress was under fire after ignorantly declaring misguided Jonathan as a wonderful president without knowing him just the way most foreign commentators are quick to say.
She immediately withdrew her support for Jonathan when she realised that he is a draconian despot who have no regards for the rights of some sect.
Call them any name, SSS, Police, Soldiers, Navy, Air force etcetera, it is just a Lie, They work for the President, Yes. They can be used as tools, to intimidate, to harass and to carry out all the wills of the president, They are themselves Lawbreakers who have no respect for the man on the street because they are garbed in government attires, Poverty drove several to the duties and the fact that they are shielded once they are in that Uniform amongst their lawless rogues colleagues. They abuse the rights of citizens when on uniform, beating a common man on the street and are watched by a gathering crowd who would dare not interfere.
They are paid to protect the President and are happy that millions others who are not connected to them by birth suffers the misrule of a sect of criminals in power. They are posted away from their own parents so their crimes will not be cautioned by culture, whereas other colleagues of their harass their families in another state or they even dare to revenge when it is not from “the powers that be”

Following the violence that erupted in the Lagos State University, LASU, Lagos State House of Assembly, has directed the school management to re-open the registration portal for the over 1,292 students, to complete their registration exercise.
Meanwhile, the acting president of the Lagos State University (LASU) Student Union Government (SUG), Miss Mojirade Hassan said that the protest embarked upon by the students to register their displeasure over the closure of the registration portal, was hijacked by unknown hoodlums.
This came barely 24 hours after the students went on rampage, destroying the school’s property, burning tyres on the expressway and disrupting the second semester examinations of the 2012/2013 academic session.
The House gave the directive after a six-hour plenary session in which each of the parties-the school management and the students- addressed the law makers.

Nigeria has cheated again! We can reveal with authority that the nation’s winning U-17 national team is composed of some overaged players who were officially and deliberately helped to reduce their ages to enable the nation to win at all costs so as to shore up the records of the goons in the administration of football in the country. The latest revelation amongst those we have investigated is thee numero uno in the goal post, Dele Alampasu. For free, as at when the U-17 championship was being played in the United Arab Emirate (UAE), the goalkeeper was already 20 years of age.The Sun newpaper of 19th January 2014 on its page 16 has a story titled: “Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu’s father, bids farewell to poverty; Me, Okada rider? Never again! He says.” The report authored by the authoritative Omololu Kassim written is suave silky skilful prose makes sweet reading.
Tomi, Alampasu’s father according to the report, “is fondly called Baba Dele in Itoki district, Ogun state, had lived a wretched life ever since he arrived there in 1993, the same year that Dele Alampasu was born. The jubilant father told this reporter that Dele was christened ‘Dokunanyan’ a name in Egun dialect which means tomorrow will be better for me.’
There were about 10 other mothers with their newborns placed in baby cots beside their beds in the post-natal ward of the Igando General Hospital, Lagos. But here, Blessing Victor (not real name) stood out. In fact, rather than focus attention on their own relations, many of the visitors directed their gaze at Victor’s corner. The reason was obvious.
She was just a kid, a 14-year-old girl. What she was doing as this correspondent walked in was indeed something that would attract attention from wandering eyes around the ward.
She stretched out her baby on the bed. Armed with a wad of cotton wool and a bottle of a dressing solution, the young mother was cleaning the baby’s umbilical opening that was cut less than 24 hours earlier.
Blessing’s mother, who walked in with our correspondent, was alarmed somewhat and asked why she was doing that without asking for permission.
“The nurses have taught me how to do it,” the girl said.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) tonight released the timetable for the 2015 general elections.
The commission also announced the timetable for the conduct of the governorship election in both Ekiti and Osun States. Both states have early elections.
In a three-paragraph statement issued by INEC’s secretary, Augusta Ogakwu, the commission revealed that the presidential and National Assembly elections would come first. Going by the timetable, Nigerians will elect a president as well as members of the national legislature on February 14, 2015. Elections for governors as well as members of the 36 state houses of assembly are scheduled for February 28, 2015.
Jonathan and Abacha
Goodluck Jonathan has assumed a tyrannical crescendo and moving the apparatus of state against his perceived enemies, while protecting his own kinsmen who are renowned for criminal activities and threats, The Clarkes and the Asari Dokubos of this world have made damaging statements without any hunts, it has become so clear that the boyish President of Nigeria is desperate to use power in an oppressive manner like his predecessor, Abacha to intimidate and put his enemies behind bars
Mallam Nasir el Rufai
When Asari Dokubo said blood will flow in 2015 if President Jonathan is not re-elected, It was not a problem to the Nigerian oppressor Is Dokubo-asari free to say this because he is from South South and President Jonathan is also from South South? In failing to arrest or invite Dokubo-asari is the SSS playing President Jonathan's script by shielding Dokubo-asari? Is this why President Jonathan helped Dokubo-asari out of police detention in Benin Republic as claimed in some quarters? The SSS has clearly shown its partisanship in failing to even invite Dokubo-asari. The SSS partisanship may actually be the reason why violence will ensue in 2015 for everyone is watching every action by SSS and Jonathan.
Reports has it that,
The State Security Service, SSS, has finally secured a warrant of arrest for the Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasir El-Rufai, and has now launched a manhunt for him, the spokesperson for the agency has said.
This is even as armed operatives of the Service again stormed a second house in Abuja believed to belong to the former minister in their desperate bid to arrest him.
They had earlier in the afternoon invaded his first house in the Maitama District of the nation’s capital, but could not find him as he had reportedly gone to pick his children from school. They were said to have tried to force their way in to arrest the former minister.
In the latest siege on another property, also in the Maitama District, the operatives were said to have beaten up some private guards for refusing them entry.
The spokesperson of the SSS, Marylyn Ogar, confirmed that the operatives visited Mr. El-Rufai’s second house to arrest him, but denied that anyone was beaten.
“I hate cheap blackmail,” Ms. Ogar told PREMIUM TIMES on telephone. “We went to the first place, nobody was beaten up. How will we go to the second place and beat people up?”
She explained that the SSS got an arrest warrant demanded by Mr. El-Rufai, but could not find him to personally serve him the document.
“We extended a friendly invitation to him,” the SSS spokesperson said. “He was invited honourably to come and make some explanations about the comments attributed to him.
“He said he wanted an arrest warrant. We have now obtained that from a competent court and we are wondering why he is running.
“We want to serve it on him. Or is there any Nigerian that is above the law?
“The president has said his ambition is not worth any Nigerian’s blood. So why will anyone else be making provocative statements?”
The Imam of the Federal College of Technology, Yaba Mosque, Imam Saeed Salmon has stated that Islam also believes in the second coming of Jesus Christ.
He added that any Muslim who does not believe in the second coming of Christ, is not a true follower of Prophet Muhammed.
The Muslim cleric who made this known during a special lecture held at the Lagos Central Mosque, said, Jesus was a messenger of God and would still return to a mosque in Damascus.
“The second coming of Jesus Christ is a doctrine that every Muslim must believe. The teachings of prophet Muhammad talks extensively about this.
The Qua’ ran Chapter 4:157-159 teaches this, but the teachings of Islam does not support that Jesus was killed or resurrected, rather, he was raised by Almighty Allah to his majesty.”
The billionaire businessman who made headline in Sept 2012 when he offered a reward of $65million to any man who can take his daughter off her female lover, has reportedly upped the money to $130million after all prospective suitors failed to win his daughter's heart. And according to reports, many men tried. His first offer reportedly attracted more more 20,000 unsuccessful suitors. I'm sure some of them were Nigerians.

Khareema Aguiar & Gershon Koffie
Ghanaian actress, Khareema Aguiar, has finally confessed she is dating 22-year-old, Gershon Koffie, a Canada-based Ghanaian midfielder who plays for White Caps in Vancouver. The revelation follows Tuesday’s report that the ‘Checkmate’ actress had refused to clear the air on her relationship with Gershon, saying her career should be talked about and not her love life.
The beautiful actress, who seemed angry by commentaries that followed the report, made a u-turn yesterday and said she had nothing to hide about her love relationship with Gershon.
“Ghanaians think I am denying him, no I’m not denying him, he is my boyfriend and I love him very much, people should let us be. I have heard comments saying because I have issues so I am trying to be smart by not coming out open. Now I am out here speaking so you all should listen and listen good, Gershon is very happy with me and I am extremely happy with him.
We are friends, he is my confidant and my number one fan, so I am not denying him…but there are kids out there who need support and much attention must be given to them. I have now spoken and that’s what it is, I love my man, so now leave us alone and give the aged some attention and care, they need it,” she said.
Asked how they met and how long they have been dating, Khareema revealed that, “Our meeting was timely and God’s intervention. He is the one I have been searching for all this while and I am the one he has been scouting for, so our meeting is timely. We have been dating for some time now but really how long we have been dating is irrelevant at this point, but trust me every minute we spend together is like a year together. So trust me if that’s anything to go by, then I guess we have been dating for a decade.”
"Hundreds of Lagos State University (LASU) students protesting a dispute over schools fees halted second semester examinations today.
The dispute involves schools fees the students were being asked to pay in the amount Naira 250,000 - 350,000. When a handful of students couldn't find the fees as early as the schools demanded, students said the Vice Chancellor, Mr. John Obafunwa, was unsympathetic and closed the University portal against late registration for the examination.
The students appealed the decision through the Student Union but the Vice Chancellor said the late registrants would not participate in examinations.
A student leader told Sahareporters the banks were still receiving payments from the students even after the registration portal had been closed, and they thought the management would re-open the portal for them to do their registration.

The federal government will this year pump more cash into constructing an elite wing of the presidential clinic in Abuja where only a few big and mighty will receive attention, a spending that dwarfs the total funds allocated by government for entire developmental projects of two federal university teaching hospitals.
Under the proposed 2014 budget laid to the National Assembly last December, the “Construction of a VIP Wing at the State House Clinic will cost N705 million.”
That amount surpasses the government’s budgeted cost for the building of new wards (buildings), laboratories and all other developmental projects in two university teaching hospitals.
For instance, the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, have been allocated a total of N662 million for capital expenditure this year.
The two medical facilities are only part of a long list of teaching hospitals which have their capital spending this year outdone by the VIP budget, tagged in the budget as SHMC- State House Medical Clinic.

YAHYA JAMMEH)On "gay marriage"
"homosexuality is anti-humanity". "i have never seen homosexual chicken, or turkey. If you are convicted of homosexuality in this country (gambia), there will be no mercy for offenders. We will put you in the female wing of the prison.” And to foreigners (western), he also said this: "if you are to give us aid for men and men or for women and women to marry, leave it. We don't need your aid because as far as i am the president of the Gambia, you will never see that happen in this country."
Sgt Tom Smit
Police are investigating why a San Francisco-area transport police officer shot and killed a colleague during a search of a suspect's apartment.
Sgt Tom Smith, 42, was the first officer of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (Bart) police to be killed in the line of duty in the force's 42-year history.
He was killed on Tuesday as a squad of officers searched the home of a robbery suspect who was already in custody. Investigators say Sgt Smith was shot accidentally.
Sgt Smith is survived by his wife, also a Bart officer, and a six-year-old daughter.
Bart is a commuter rail line that serves the San Francisco Bay area in northern California.
In a joint statement, Bart's police chief Kenton Rainey and general manager Grace Crunican said, "The entire Bart organization is deeply saddened by this tragic event."
Mr Rainey did not name the officer who shot Sgt Smith, but said he was "extremely upset".
"We want to give him and his family a chance to come to grips with what's going on and what's happening," he told reporters.
If the copy at the disposal of SaharaReporters is truly original, the misspellings in the names of some of the ministerial nominees President Goodluck Jonathan transmitted to the Nigerian Senate on Monday again exposes the quality of the work of the presidency.
On Monday before he travelled out of the country, President Jonathan forwarded the nominees’ names to the Senate for confirmation.
Among the best-known names was military general and repeated top government official Aliyu Mohamed Gusau. Nonetheless, his name was written as ‘Aliu’.
Similarly, the name of Mrs. Laurentia Laraba Mallam was sent by the executive to the legislature as ‘Lawrencia Labaran.’
They are always closely knit, you just cannot explain their tie, They bond so freely despite the wide gap of their different background, and too soon even the elite who should know better are easily swayed by the deceit of their temporary stay. There is a long list of these cruel gangs who love to be referred to with honor. But what honour does corruption have.
They party and meets in hoods to decide how they will lick the wounds of the masses, with a plastic smile, they pretend not to know that the common man on the streets sleep daily in pains of their loot
Yet for pity they never cease to lick the wounds
Goodluck Jonathan, sent names of 12 ministerial nominees including four women to the Senate for confirmation, Jonathan also, for the first time in the history of the country, sent the names of newly appointed service chiefs to the Senate for confirmation.
The service chiefs are Air Marshal Alex Badeh, Chief of Defence Staff; Major General Kenneth Minimah, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral Usman Jibrin, Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Adeola Amosu, Chief of Air Staff.
Two of the ministerial nominees are from Kano State.

Central African Republic lawmakers chose their capital's mayor to become interim president on Monday and lead the country out of months of sectarian killings, as the European Union agreed to send in 500 troops to help restore order.
The change in leadership and deepening international involvement in the former French colony follow waves of killing and looting that have forced 1 million people - nearly a quarter of the population - to flee. The landlocked nation, impoverished for all its mineral reserves, descended into chaos when mainly Muslim rebels, known as Seleka, seized power in March.
Abuses by Seleka fighters triggered revenge attacks by Christian militia known as 'anti-balaka', fuelling unprecedented violence between communities that had lived side-by-side.
"I am the president of all Central Africans, without exception," said Mayor Catherine Samba-Panza, succeeding Seleka leader Michel Djotodia who stepped down as interim president this month under international pressure over his failure to end the bloodshed.
"I appeal to my anti-balaka and Seleka children to listen to me and lay down your weapons," said the Chadian-born politician, who moved to Central African Republic when she was 18.
Nigerian is one country where originality is seemingly non-existence, from the President to the common citizens on the street, you are sure to be deceived on every interaction. Lies reign from the top and sane people are wondering why the masses have accepted fate unlike the Egyptians and the Libyans where monsters in government are removed by the power of the people. Even the Police in Nigeria is a cartel of fraud, but they are still used by the powers in control of power.
One of the commonest crimes in Nigeria is impersonation, which is made possible by a system that defraud the citizens, making graduates useless after school because of the greed of a handful criminals in power. One of such impersonator have been arrested
